I Need Help With an older mare, with injury
I have a horse rescue in weatherford, tx and I have been given a 19 yr old mare that has a hip injury on her left rear. She still gates if she and when she starts trottin across the arena on her own...she is very timmid of enclosed stalls, most likely from her trauma.
I would like some advise in finding this gal a good home, she deserves that much, but I have no luck with helping her in this direction, please advise me to find her a good home.

Is the mare you mention healed from her injury? Is she sound and comfortable, or are you managing her level of pain? It's hard to say without knowing more, what the best decision for her would be. If the right decision is to place her, then there are many Peruvian Horse people in Texas who may be able to provide her with a home, or foster home.
