The World of Peruvian Paso Horses

Need help transitioning my Peruvian Horses from swamp (Fl) to desert (Nv).

Hi all,

Very concerned about relocating my beautiful RYR Cascabella mare, my adorable TWH and my friend's two awesome Peruvians from Fl to Nv in the month of Feb.  They'll be going from pasture to no pasture, soft sand to rock and gravel and different hay than what they're used to.  All 4 are barefoot...desperately need good barefoot farrier and vet referrals in the Las Vegas area. Also, if anyone can recommend a good transporter so they can safely make the trip, I would be very appreciative.

Hi Sandy - I am in the Rocky Mts. of Colorado, very rocky and no shoes. We have no problems. We have a Peruvian trainer who does our trimming, so we are very fortunate. For a transport, I would recommend Nation-Wide  horse Transport from Colorado Springs. They go all over the US and they do an excellent job. Look at their website, then give them a call. They are great. I am moving from Colorado to South Carolina in 2011, and will be using Nation-Wide for my precious guy. Good Luck.  Patti Memsic
