Peruvian Horse World Celebrates Its First Anniversary

June 25, 2008, a new website dedicated to the Peruvian Paso Horse and its aficionados was introduced. Over the course of our first year, we have almost 700 members from around the globe...truly a "Peruvian Horse World".

It is hard to believe that a year has already passed. It seems like just yesterday that we were getting ready to launch the site and embark on a new venture. This past year has been quite an exciting one, with ups and downs, some unseen surprises, and many new and wonderful relationships created.

In the beginning, faced with skepticism, we were told that a site like this wouldn't work and that past attempts had been unsuccessful to create a harmonious and vibrant Peruvian Paso Horse community. We took it to heart, and made sure to foster an atmosphere of collaboration. We strongly believe that by working together, we can accomplish great things, and that has been the foundational philosophy of Peruvian Horse World. I have seen it first hand in our membership, who respectfully focus communications on what bring us together, rather than what divides us. This basic premise has created an enjoyable space for our lively and passionate membership. To this, we will always be dedicated.

Thanks to our member's contributions and participation, we can safely say that we have the most comprehensive online collection of information related to the Peruvian Paso Horse that is readily available to the general public. We truly appreciate each and every member of PHW for sharing your knowledge and experience, your photos, videos and most of all, your passion. Your passion and admiration of the Peruvian Horse shines like a beacon that attracts new aficionados.

We would like to express profound gratitude to our breed experts, the trainers and judges, who have generously given their time to help us learn more, to improve our skills and understanding and who have assisted us all in becoming better Peruvian Horse owners.

A few of this year's highlights include working with Made In Peru Magazine to launch a contest for our Junior Members, Our "Ask The Trainer", and "Ask The Judge" groups, allowing members to interact one on one with Peruvian Horse trainers and judges, collaborating with AficionPeru.com to present for the first time in history a live internet broadcast of the ANCPCPP National Show, and most recently the development of the Peruvian Horse World Directory. Overall, our first year has gone pretty well, but we won't be resting on our laurels!

We have many plans for the upcoming year, we will continue to focus on growing our membership and the expansion of Peruvian Horse World's reach into the mainstream horse world. We will increase content related to information and education, and we are very excited to launch some cutting edge promotional features that will be coming out later this year.

We are looking forward to the upcoming year with much anticipation, and to the future celebration of many more anniversaries with you!
